Terms and Conditions for Text.lk SMS Gateway Sri Lanka

Welcome to Text.lk SMS Gateway! These Terms of Service govern the use of the SMS Gateway Service provided by Text.lk, a product by CODEROG SOFTWARE ENGINEERING (PVT) LTD, referred to as “Text.lk” or “We”. By utilizing our services, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms of Service. Should you disagree with any part of these terms, kindly refrain from using our services.
- DURATION OF AGREEMENT AND TERMINATION
1.1 This Agreement commences on the subscription date and remains effective until either party discontinues the Service.
1.2 Either party may terminate this agreement with one (01) month’s written notice.
1.3 Text.lk reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time without assigning any reason, with or without notice.
1.4 Termination does not absolve the Customer from obligations to pay outstanding amounts.
- RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
2.1 The Customer agrees not to use the Service for transmitting unethical, obscene, illegal, defamatory, or scandalous material.
2.1.1 Local business entities are allowed to use the Service. International A2P content requires a special package and permission.
2.2 The Customer shall not engage in spam, scams, or any activity negatively affecting the recipients. Violation may lead to permanent account suspension without refunds.
2.3 The Service must not be used for transmitting material about competitors or conflicting interests with Text.lk.
2.4 The Customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the account’s username and password.
2.5 The Customer shall change the original password assigned upon account creation and assume full responsibility for it.
2.6 Sender IDs must be requested and approved by Text.lk before use. Professional and non-numeric IDs are allowed.
2.7 Reselling the entire Service to third parties is prohibited. The Service is for the Customer’s business purposes only.
2.8 Text.lk is not responsible for data backup; the Customer must ensure data integrity and security.
2.9 Text.lk may suspend services if there is a suspected violation, an attack, or legal requirements.
- CREDITS AND LIMITATIONS
3.1 Services are provided based on the Agreement and applicable laws. Credit approval criteria must be met.
3.2 Credits are not available for breaches, downtime from circumstances beyond Text.lk’s control, or your non-compliance.
- PRICING / FEES / AND REFUND POLICY
4.1 Fees are due within seven days. Late payments may result in service suspension without refunds.
4.2 Text.lk does not offer refunds; the account balance can only be used for sending SMS.
4.3 Changing plans will adjust the SMS cost accordingly, with the current account balance carried forward.

- CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS
5.1 All credit card payments are processed through an approved payment gateway authorized by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
5.2 Saved card details are securely stored by the Payment Gateway. Only the last 4 digits, first 4 digits, expiry date, and card type are retained for reference.
5.3 Automatic payments are initiated only upon explicit action or if opted for automatic monthly charges.
- DISCLAIMER
6.1 Text.lk commits to providing only the specified services in the Service Order.
6.2 Unauthorized access or use of services not covered in Section 2 is not our responsibility.
6.3 Prices may change without prior notice due to tax changes or other reasons.
6.4 Text.lk reserves the right to modify the agreement over time with or without notice.
